LabGenomics Selected as KOSDAQ Rising Star for 2 Consecutive Years... "The Only Bio Diagnostic Company"
LabGenomics announced on the 7th that it has been selected as a ‘2023 KOSDAQ Rising Star’ designated by the Korea Exchange. This marks the second consecutive year of selection, and it is the only bio-diagnostic company to receive this honor.
Since 2009, the Korea Exchange has been conducting the Rising Star program to support the mid- to long-term growth of promising KOSDAQ-listed companies and to revitalize the KOSDAQ market. Companies with global market dominance or high growth potential in innovative industries have been selected as KOSDAQ Rising Stars.
To be selected as a KOSDAQ Rising Star, applicant companies undergo quantitative evaluations such as financial requirements and qualitative evaluations including CEO interviews. The selection process also involves deliberations by a selection committee composed of external experts.
LabGenomics is a genome molecular diagnostics specialist company that commercialized the prenatal genetic disorder test diagnostic kit service based on NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) gene diagnostic technology for the first time in Korea. In particular, its DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) genetic analysis service holds a 99% market share in the domestic market.
A LabGenomics representative stated, “Our company is expanding and advancing molecular diagnostic service technology from NGS-based cancer diagnostic services to providing total healthcare solutions, thereby increasing market share. We aim to become a global molecular diagnostic healthcare specialist company by offering early screening for prevention, companion diagnostics for personalized treatment, and monitoring diagnostics for follow-up.”

LabGenomics has been the number one DTC operator in Korea since 2017, continuously investing in and researching DTC testing. Last year, it participated in the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s DTC pilot project and obtained official certification this year for a total of 69 items. Currently, it is developing customized products for client companies to expand into various industries such as diet foods, health functional foods, and cosmetics.
