Mapo-gu Opens Forum for Public-Private Integrated Case Management Exchange
‘Joint Exchange Workshop’ Held to Share Bifurcated Case Management Types and Information
Case Managers’ Open Chat Room, Joint Training... Expansion of Customized Welfare Expected through Activation of Public-Private Collaboration
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held a joint exchange workshop among related divisions centered on the Community Social Security Council to ensure efficient use of welfare resources and thorough case management.
The Community Social Security Council serves as a hub for resident-tailored welfare. Among its roles, identifying residents facing complex difficulties such as health, finance, and housing, and providing systematic solutions is carried out through ‘case management.’
Since the Community Social Security Council is a public-private cooperative organization, case management is also divided and operated into the ‘Case Management Network Division,’ which includes related institutions, organizations, and facilities, and the ‘Dong Case Management Support Division,’ composed of Dong Community Center staff and local cooperative organizations.
Mapo-gu created an exchange platform so that committee members and practitioners of these divisions could share the bifurcated case management types and information.
The workshop held on the 4th at Mapo Central Library was attended by about 40 people, including members of the two divisions of the Mapo-gu Community Social Security Council and practitioners from participating institutions. Introductions of each division, sharing of information by institution, and presentations on ways to activate case management were conducted.
An open chat room was also created to enable practitioners to easily and quickly share resource information by institution necessary for case management.
The district plans to continue holding exchange workshops regularly and to further strengthen the activation of integrated public-private case management by jointly conducting case management programs such as child abuse prevention campaigns and training.
