Exchanging Various Opinions for the Educational Vision of Hamyang
Jin Byeong-yeong, the governor of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, announced on the 7th that he held a parents' meeting to present the direction of the 8th term civilian government administration and educational philosophy, and to exchange and communicate various opinions on major issues and development plans of local elementary, middle, and high schools.
The meeting, titled "Education Vision Sharing Parents' Meeting," was held in the small conference room of the county office, with Governor Jin Byeong-yeong and about 30 executives and members of the parent associations from each school participating.

View original imageThe meeting was organized to review the progress of campaign promises and policies reflecting parents' opinions, which had been of interest even before the launch of the 8th term civilian government, to incorporate them into future educational policies of the 8th term, and to listen to the vivid voices from the field of education.
Before the meeting, Governor Jin said, "This gathering was arranged to explain the current status of educational policies being promoted by Hamyang-gun and to hear about matters that require more careful attention and consideration. We will actively reflect the valuable opinions of many parents in the county administration to establish a full-fledged future vision roadmap for the vigorous leap of Hamyang-gun in the second year of the 8th term civilian government."
During the main session of the meeting, after explanations on the progress of educational policies by department, there was a time for communication in a free atmosphere through Q&A and opinion gathering with parents.
On this day, parents made suggestions on various areas such as securing after-school leisure spaces for students, efficient operation of joint childcare facilities, improvement of hazardous elements on school commuting routes, and maintenance of the environment around schools.

In response, Governor Jin said, "We have made comprehensive efforts over the past year to solve the infrastructure problems of youth facilities. We will do our best to create a better environment in close cooperation with the provincial Office of Education and the Hamyang Education Support Office in the future."
