In September last year, Pulmuone signed an agreement with the agency to establish a subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled, and after about nine months of preparation, it set up the Pulmuone Together factory on the site within the Pulmuone Yangji Logistics Center. The name 'Pulmuone Together' carries the meaning of "creating happiness and hope with various people in a space operated by Pulmuone."
The subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled is a system where disabled employees hired by the subsidiary are recognized as being employed by the parent company. It provides high-quality and stable jobs for people with disabilities and helps companies fulfill their obligations to employ disabled workers.
Disabled workers at Pulmuone Together are responsible for manufacturing 100% water ice packs used for packaging products of all Pulmuone affiliates, online delivery packaging and portioning of Pulmuone natto products, as well as participating in green juice delivery packaging and small packaging tasks for the pet brand Amio.
Since May, Pulmuone has selected and employed 23 regular employees through job and aptitude training and evaluation during the training period, and plans to hire an additional 14 employees within this year. They provide commuting buses for disabled workers and are expanding work opportunities for disabled individuals living in remote areas.
