The target household for this volunteer activity was a detached house where the grandson, left alone after the elderly person who was a recipient of the customized elderly care service passed away, was living. The house was not properly maintained and urgently needed help.
To encourage the volunteer group who worked hard in the hot weather, Kim Hee-su, the governor of Jindo-gun, personally visited the site to express his gratitude.
A representative of the customized elderly care service who participated in the volunteer activity said, “We will do our best to help those in need through continuous volunteer activities and various resource linkage services.”
A Uisin-myeon official in Jindo-gun said, “We deeply appreciate the volunteer group who provided help,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in discovering and resolving welfare blind spots in the community.”
