Joint Purchase Consultations and Live Commerce Between Large Corporations, Public Institutions, and SMEs
Busan City, in collaboration with Busan Christian Broadcasting System (CBS), will hold the ‘2023 Busan Brand Festa’ for three days from the 7th to the 9th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 to support local small and medium-sized enterprises and revitalize the regional economy.
Now in its fifth year, the ‘Busan Brand Festa’ is a large-scale consumer festival event that promotes and sells excellent products from local small and medium-sized businesses to increase product awareness and support the development of various sales channels.
At the same time, it discovers hidden gem companies in the region and introduces them to Busan citizens, creating a platform for communication between businesses and the public.
This year’s event is supported by organizations actively promoting social value management (ESG management), including Korea Southern Power, Korea Securities Depository, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and BNK Busan Bank, all joining forces to help revitalize local businesses.
The opening ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on July 7, with Mayor Park Hyung-jun and about ten distinguished guests attending to deliver congratulatory speeches, participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and tour the event venue.
More than 140 representative Busan companies will participate in this event, showcasing Busan’s excellent products and technologies, along with citizen events that visitors can enjoy while purchasing products.
Visitors can experience the traditional tastes of Busan through companies such as ‘Yugasomssi,’ which has been promoting Busan-style dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) nationwide for two generations; ‘Daeseon,’ a representative Busan liquor company with over 90 years of tradition; ‘Saengtak,’ which has been producing raw Makgeolli for over 50 years; ‘J&Chonggak Butcher Department Store,’ responsible for providing meat to Busan citizens; and ‘Songjeongdong Hotdog,’ born in Songjeong, the hometown.
Additionally, there will be the ‘Owl & Pussycat,’ a representative liquor store in Gwangalli; ‘Iyuyineun Suljip,’ a traditional liquor store; the ‘Busan Craft Beer Pavilion’ and ‘Craft Makgeolli’ for solo drinkers and those preparing for vacations; specialty coffee companies representing Busan, the coffee city; the ‘Dongbaek Sanghoe’ pavilion selling excellent Busan products; the ‘Top 10 Busan Tourism Souvenirs’; and a pavilion for Busan’s social enterprises.
Moreover, visitors can explore products and technologies in the fields of ‘Food & Dessert,’ ‘Beauty & Fashion’ including clothing, bags, and cosmetics, ‘Health,’ ‘Living & Interior,’ ‘Leisure & Tourism,’ and ‘Technology & Services,’ with a flea market also operating alongside.
In addition to extensive discount sales, there will be booth-specific events, prize giveaways, experiential activities, and real-time broadcast sales, providing plenty of attractions and entertainment for families, friends, and acquaintances to enjoy together.
The ‘Sodam Square’ booth operated by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency will conduct real-time broadcast sales during the event, allowing visitors to purchase excellent local products at affordable prices.
There will be various prize events, including a 5,000 KRW cash coupon event based on purchase amounts, a ‘Big Spender Appreciation’ event, and birthday celebration events.
Admission is free, and detailed information about the event can be found on the Busan Brand Festa website.
Furthermore, this year’s event has prepared a special business platform for companies facing difficulties in product promotion and sales.
On the first day of the event, July 7, a ‘Joint Purchasing Consultation Meeting between Large Corporations/Public Institutions and Small and Medium Enterprises’ will be held, providing support for public procurement consultations with the Public Procurement Service, legal counseling for small business owners, and on-site real-time broadcast sales support to fully assist participating companies in expanding their sales channels.
