Seongnam City Supports Treatment Costs for All Infertile Couples... Up to 14.9 Million KRW
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will support treatment costs for all infertile couples regardless of income level starting this month. This is a follow-up measure after abolishing the previous income criterion for treatment cost support, which was 'below 180% of the median income.'
Accordingly, infertile couples who have resided in Seongnam for more than six months and receive health insurance-covered treatments will be supported up to 1.1 million KRW per session, for a total of 21 treatment sessions.
The support scale by treatment type is as follows: up to 9 fresh embryo in vitro fertilization (IVF) sessions (up to 1.1 million KRW per session), up to 7 frozen embryo sessions (up to 500,000 KRW per session), and up to 5 artificial insemination sessions (up to 300,000 KRW per session).
Women aged 44 or younger can receive up to 14.9 million KRW in total support if they undergo all types of treatments.
Applications for support can be made by visiting local health centers in areas such as Sujeong, Jungwon, and Bundang, or online via Government24.
