Pasoo releases 'FDR 2.2' detecting personal information in unstructured data
Fasoo has released 'Fasoo Data Radar (FDR) 2.2,' which can detect and mask sensitive information within unstructured data based on AI.
Fasoo Data Radar is a solution that monitors documents from various storage locations in real-time and automatically classifies them based on content and context. It not only identifies sensitive information such as personal data but also provides post-processing functions that encrypt, isolate, or delete the documents, or revoke access or destroy them after a certain period. It is especially widely used for personal information management.
Through updates, Fasoo now supports integration between Fasoo Data Radar and the AI-based 'Fasoo AiR (Fasoo AI Radar),' enabling detection and masking of personal information contained in unstructured files such as images and text documents. Many companies that had difficulties detecting personal information in unstructured data with most existing solutions used to comply with personal information protection laws can now comply more thoroughly with the Personal Information Protection Act.
'Fasoo AiR,' which integrates with Fasoo Data Radar, is a solution that demonstrates excellent accuracy in detecting personal information, recording a machine learning evaluation metric (F1 Score) of 93.1% by utilizing AI-based natural language processing (NLP) technology, optical character recognition (OCR) technology, and Fasoo's proprietary deep learning technology. By applying a transformer-based language model, it understands context even in complex sentences and can detect and mask various types of personal information such as names, resident registration numbers, addresses, bank accounts, and card numbers.

Joo Kyu-gon, CEO of Fasoo, said, "Accurate detection of personal information is an essential capability for compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act, but existing pattern-matching-based solutions had limitations in managing unstructured data. The new Fasoo Data Radar applies proprietary AI technology with excellent accuracy to help control personal information within various data."
