With the increase in local consumption due to COVID-19, a culture of enjoying premium desserts based on fresh milk at nearby convenience stores has taken root, especially among younger generations. Among MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) women who frequently sought out fresh cream bread made famous on social networking services (SNS) as 'Bangalsat,' there has been a growing demand for premium bread made with high-quality fresh milk that is soft and chewy.
In line with this trend, Seven Eleven planned 'Jeju Milk Bread' as a PB Seven Select product, differentiating the raw materials by using Jeju Milk to upgrade the value of the bread. Thanks to the popularity of premium convenience store bread centered on the MZ generation, Seven Eleven's total bread sales in the first half of this year increased by 50% compared to the previous year.
The three types of Seven Select premium Jeju Milk bread released by Seven Eleven this time are 'Jeju Milk Soboro Bread,' 'Jeju Milk Fresh Cream Bread,' and 'Jeju Milk Peanut Cream Bread.' Jeju Milk was incorporated into the dough to create chewy and flavorful bread.
Jeju Milk Soboro Bread is a soboro bread topped generously with savory soboro biscuits made with peanut butter and crushed peanuts on top of the bread. Jeju Milk Fresh Cream Bread contains rich butter cream made with high-quality New Zealand butter inside the bread, giving it a soft texture. Jeju Milk Peanut Cream Butter Bread has a peanut cream content in the cream that is more than six times higher than that of regular peanut cream bread.
Meanwhile, Seven Eleven has been releasing collaborative products with Jeju Milk since June 2021. So far, Seven Eleven has introduced more than 10 products, including 'Jeju Milk Corn Ice Cream,' 'Jeju Milk Shine Muscat & Tangerine Sandwich,' and 'Jeju Milk Fresh Cream Bread.' All of these have gained popularity, ranking first in sales within their respective categories.
