On the 3rd, Mayor Park started his first workday of the 8th elected term early in the morning by collecting recyclables together with environmental officers. Despite the high temperatures exceeding 30°C daily, he expressed gratitude and encouragement to the environmental officers who are working hard to maintain a clean living environment for residents.
At 9:30 a.m., he took time to reflect on the achievements so far with all the staff of Gwanak-gu Office.
Mayor Park praised the efforts of the Gwanak-gu Office employees who devoted themselves to overcoming numerous challenges such as COVID-19 and flood damage, ensuring that the district’s key policies deeply take root in residents’ lives. He pledged to continue creating a ‘Together, the Best Gwanak-gu’ where all residents can be happy.
At 11:30 a.m., he visited the Gwanak Senior Welfare Center and personally participated in meal service volunteering for the elderly. Promising to do his best as a filial mayor so that seniors can enjoy a lively and healthy old age, he listened carefully to each senior’s voice.
Mayor Park also did not neglect resident safety. He emphasized the safety of on-site workers and residents, saying, “Nothing is more important than safety management. I ask for special attention to ensure that not a single safety accident occurs until the construction is completed.”
Mayor Park’s on-site activities continued into the evening. At 6 p.m., he attended the Gwanak S Valley Startup Networking Day ‘Gwanak S Night’ held at Gwanak Youth Center, freely communicating with about 100 stakeholders including startup founders in Gwanak S Valley.
In particular, he had a discussion with one representative of a resident company as a ‘representative-to-representative’ on the theme of ‘The Vision of Gwanak S Valley Five Years from Now,’ listening carefully to the valuable opinions of resident companies for the continuous growth of Gwanak S Valley and promising to do his best to support them.
