Earlier, former Minister Choo appeared on the YouTube channel 'OhmyTV' and stated, "(President Moon Jae-in) directly told me to 'step down,'" clarifying that her resignation was not voluntary.
Former Supreme Council member Park criticized, "Such belated revelations are inappropriate," adding, "Speaking about the president you served or the events during that administration in a manner of 'I couldn't say it then, but I can say it now' is, in my opinion, against propriety."
He also expressed concern that former Minister Choo's criticism could escalate conflicts among supporters. He said, "In the past, you yourself stated that you stepped down from your position, but now to reverse that and claim that former President Moon asked you to step down can actually serve as another form of attack," and "Among some supporters, criticism toward former President Moon is rising, with comments like 'Why did you make Minister Choo Mi-ae step down back then?'"

Kim Yong-tae, former Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, who appeared on the radio program the same day, said, "It seems that former Minister Choo, who served as a minister under the Moon Jae-in administration, is now switching allegiance to the pro-Lee Jae-myung faction," adding, "Other than trying to curry favor with Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party leader, like a child to play some role in next year's general election, I really cannot understand why former Minister Choo is making such remarks now."
