Abundant Activities Including Pool Expansion and Water Play Bounce... Safety Staff Also On Site
The National Gwangju Science Museum (Acting Director Jeon Tae-ho) announced that from the 3rd, advance reservations for the ‘Water Science Experience Center,’ where visitors can enjoy a vacation in the city, will begin on the museum’s website.
This year, the Water Science Experience Center will operate from the 21st of this month until the 27th of next month. Compared to last year, the pool area has been expanded, and new additions such as a water play bounce and a water soccer field have been included to provide visitors with a richer water play experience.
For a comfortable experience, the shower rooms and changing rooms have been expanded, shade tents have been widely extended, and cooling fans and air coolers have been additionally installed to help beat the heat. In particular, staff holding lifeguard and nursing certifications are stationed on-site to ensure safety without any gaps.
The Water Science Experience Center will operate three sessions daily (except Mondays) from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., each session lasting 2 hours and accommodating 300 people. The usage fee is 6,000 KRW, and reservations can be made online in advance for up to 200 people per session until one day before the visit.
For those who could not make an online reservation, on-site ticketing is available on the day of use for 100 people per session and for any remaining online reservation spots. For visitor safety, children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a guardian to use the facility.
