The 25th No Jeom-rye, the newly appointed chief of Gwangju Seobu Fire Station, chose to visit the site immediately upon taking office.
According to Gwangju Seobu Fire Station on the 2nd, No Jeom-rye, the chief of Gwangju Seobu Fire Station, after being appointed, exchanged brief greetings with the Seobu Fire Station staff at 9 a.m., then immediately visited the construction site of Subway Line 2 and the Yangdong Market area, which are vulnerable to heavy rain in Seogu district.
Chief No conducted a detailed inspection of facilities through the site visit and encouraged the officials while urging them to prepare safety measures suitable for the characteristics of the site.
While providing on-site administrative guidance in areas vulnerable to heavy rain, he said, "Recently, sudden heavy rains have caused significant damage nationwide, increasing the risks of natural disasters during the summer season," adding, "To minimize damage, we will strengthen cooperation with related organizations by devising preventive safety measures in advance."
Chief No was born in 1963 in Jinan, Jeollabuk-do, graduated from Chonnam National University Graduate School of Policy, and was appointed in 1984 through the fire service open recruitment. He has held key positions such as Gwangju Fire School, Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters Protection and Prevention Division, and 119 Comprehensive Situation Room Chief, earning a reputation as a commander who demonstrates harmonious leadership based on understanding and empathy along with abundant work planning capabilities.
