Jindo-gun and Honam University Love Sharing Center Conduct Volunteer Activities in Yongjang Village

Jindo County recently announced on the 30th that members of the Honam University Love Sharing Center (Director Professor Lee Muhyung) conducted rural volunteer activities in Yongjang Village, Gunnae-myeon.

The Love Sharing Center volunteer group, consisting of about 30 professors and students from departments such as Physical Therapy and Culinary and Food Service, participated in volunteer activities related to their majors.

Jindo-gun recently conducted rural volunteer activities with members of the Honam University Love Sharing Center in Yongjang Village, Gunnae-myeon.

On this day, the volunteer activities were carried out in a warm and friendly atmosphere while checking on the health and well-being of the village elders, including physical therapy, beauty and hair services, jjajangmyeon making, and village maintenance volunteer work for the elderly.

The county plans to promote a sisterhood relationship between Yongjang Village, which embodies the patriotic spirit of the Sambyeolcho anti-Mongol resistance, and Honam University, taking the lead in creating a better hometown by establishing flower paths and more.

An official from the Jindo County Agricultural Support Division said, “We are grateful to the volunteer group for showing warmth through rural volunteer activities for local elders,” and added, “We will continue to strive to promote various volunteer activities through collaboration with other organizations.”
