Payhere Launches 'Foreign Tourist Waiting' Feature
Kakao Alimtalk, Foreign Visitors Unable to Receive Texts
Entry Order Notification via Email
Payhere (CEO Park Jun-gi) announced on the 30th that it has launched a waiting service for foreign tourists. It notifies foreigners without a Korean phone number of their entry order via email.
While waiting services that notify waiting numbers via Kakao AlimTalk or text message without having to stand in line in front of popular restaurants or famous stores have become common, foreigners had no choice but to receive paper number tickets or wait on-site. 'Payhere Waiting' supports both Korean and English functions for domestic and foreign customers. In particular, foreign customers can enter their email address instead of a phone number and receive real-time information such as the waiting status ahead of them and estimated waiting time via email.

At the store, staff only need to press the 'Entry Call' button on the POS system or the administrator tablet when a seat becomes available. If the customer does not enter within the pre-set time, a cancellation AlimTalk or email is automatically sent. Payhere plans to update a remote waiting function that allows advance reservations via a mobile link without visiting the store in person. Park Jun-gi, CEO of Payhere, said, "We will continue to introduce new futures for stores through differentiated services that have never existed before."
