Pyeongtaek Port Authority to Train Maritime Logistics Experts... August Academy Training

View original imageThe Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority is recruiting 30 trainees for the 'Maritime Logistics Youth Employment Academy' until the 14th of next month to cultivate specialized personnel in maritime logistics.
The eligible candidates for this training are youths aged 19 to 34 residing in Gyeonggi Province who have graduated from or are expected to graduate from universities located within the province.
The training will be held from August 2 to 31 at a lecture hall near Gyeongbokgung Station in Seoul and will cover practical forwarding, cargo transportation practices, international logistics and port theory education, on-site training at Pyeongtaek Port, mentoring by professionals, and special lectures on self-introduction letters and interviews. The training is completely free of charge.
Since its establishment in 2017, the Maritime Logistics Youth Employment Academy has graduated 356 trainees. Among them, 157, accounting for 44% of the attendees, have found employment in logistics, shipping, and trade industries.
Applications can be submitted through the websites of the Pyeongtaek Port Authority and the Korea International Logistics Association.
Pyeongtaek Port is the only international trade port in Gyeonggi Province and ranks fourth nationwide in container cargo handling volume, following Busan, Incheon, and Gwangyang ports.

Ko Byung-su, Director of the Logistics and Port Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This training program aims to cultivate specialized personnel in maritime logistics at Pyeongtaek Port and create youth employment through theoretical and on-site education related to shipping, ports, and logistics." He added, "We hope that the outstanding maritime, port, and logistics talents nurtured through the academy will lead and drive Pyeongtaek Port forward."
