Positive Response to Open Lectures for Discovering Key Tourism Markets

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Soon-ho) announced that it held a lecture titled "Future Regional Tourism Revitalization Plan of Gurye-gun" at the Culture and Arts Center on the 29th.

The lecture invited Professor Kang Shin-gyeom from the Graduate School of Culture at Chonnam National University to explore sustainable future regional tourism revitalization strategies utilizing Gurye's cultural resources.

Professor Kang emphasized that tourism where people continuously visit can be created by rediscovering local resources and new values, connecting resources with resources and people with people to create new values and tourism brands, and responding flexibly to changes in the era with new ideas and innovation.

Additionally, it was a valuable lecture that shared the current status of Gurye tourism, the journey and achievements of Gurye tourism over the past 30 years through big data analysis, and presented alternatives for regional tourism brand strategies and success conditions.

Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "It was a good opportunity to contemplate how to advance the future regional tourism of Gurye-gun," and added, "We will enhance policy discovery and planning capabilities for regional development to flexibly respond to environmental changes surrounding the region and revitalize the future regional tourism of Gurye-gun."
