July 8 at Mapo-gu Office Auditorium, Lecturers Song Hyun-seop and Kim Jin-woo to Host 2024 High School Admission Guidance Seminar
Two-hour Lecture on Changes in High School Admission Policies, Academic Management, University Entrance Changes, and High School Credit System
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Kang-soo) will hold the ‘2024 High School Admission Guidance Seminar’ at 10 a.m. on July 8 in the auditorium of the district office.
This event was planned to provide students and parents, who face difficulties due to the increased difficulty of subjects after entering high school and unfamiliar admission systems such as the high school credit system, with information tailored to the changing high school education process in advance and to assist in strategic college entrance planning.
The seminar will be conducted over two hours under the themes of ‘Changes in High School Admission Policies and Academic Management Strategies’ and ‘Changes in University Entrance and the High School Credit System.’
The lectures will be delivered by admission experts Song Hyun-seop (former Head of the University Entrance Guidance Support Team at Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education), who has produced university entrance guidance materials and provided career education directions to schools, and Kim Jin-woo (current Educational Researcher in the Career and Admission Department at Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Center).
Pre-registration is available through the Mapo-gu Lifelong Learning Portal until July 5, and same-day participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. However, materials will only be provided to those who register in advance.
A district official stated, “This opportunity is expected to be a valuable time for not only middle school students preparing to enter high school but also elementary students interested in admission and high school students currently struggling with credit management to obtain quality information.”
