This sponsorship was made possible through the proceeds from a charity bazaar held by the company on the 9th and regular sponsorships directly participated in by employees.
The Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation was established in 1948, beginning with relief efforts for war orphans, and in 1981 became the first private organization to operate a nationwide program for underprivileged children sponsorships. For the past 75 years, it has been a leading child advocacy organization in Korea, helping children suffering from poverty and disease and continuously advocating for children’s rights.
Cushman Korea stated that at the recent charity bazaar, employees successfully donated and sold about 300 items ranging from clothing and cosmetics to golf clubs. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
Additionally, they decided to support the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation monthly through a “matching grant” method. The matching grant is a system where if employees donate a portion of their salary, the company matches the same amount and donates it.
