On the same day, Mayor Lee visited the flooded vinyl greenhouse sites in Samji-ri, Bongsan-myeon, the Geumhyeon Stream in Goseo-myeon, and the flooded site on County Road No. 16 in Mujeong-myeon to assess the situation and urged prompt action.
Damyang County recorded heavy rainfall of 280.3mm by 7 a.m. on the 28th, causing damage such as flooding of some roads and vinyl greenhouses, as well as retaining wall collapses.
Mayor Lee Byeong-no stated, “Rather than proposing temporary solutions, we will protect the property of our residents by addressing the root causes, even if it requires budget and time.”
