Damyang-gun to Operate Voucher Taxis for Transportation-Disadvantaged Starting Next Month on the 1st
For Elderly and Other Mobility-Impaired Not Using Wheelchairs... Expecting Minimal Inconvenience
Damyang-gun will start operating voucher taxis for transportation disadvantaged individuals from July 1 to expand mobility convenience and alleviate inconvenience caused by delays in user waiting times.
According to the county on the 28th, voucher taxis are special transportation means provided for non-wheelchair transportation disadvantaged individuals (such as people with disabilities, elderly over 65, pregnant women, etc.) among users of the Jeonnam Metropolitan Mobility Support Center to facilitate their mobility.
Users can travel within the local area by paying only the city bus fare (basic fare 500 KRW for 2 km, 100 KRW for each additional 1 km) during the available hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Those who wish to use the service must contact the Jeonnam Metropolitan Mobility Support Center and register as users by attaching a diagnosis or medical opinion proving walking disabilities.
Existing registrants or those who have completed member registration can make reservations and use the service via phone or smartphone app of the Jeonnam Metropolitan Mobility Support Center.
