MFDS Releases Narcotics Information Database Containing Data on 582 Substances
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has established the 'Narcotics Information Database' to make it easier to find information on narcotics, temporary narcotics, raw materials, and more, and unveiled it on the 28th.
The Narcotics Information Database contains information on a total of 582 substances, including 142 types of narcotics, 300 types of psychotropic drugs, 3 types of cannabis, 100 types of temporary narcotics, and 37 types of raw materials. The database allows searches by various methods such as substance name, chemical name, CAS number, molecular formula, and aliases.
It also provides explanations on narcotics, temporary narcotics, and raw materials, legal information, misuse prevention card news, campaign videos, and a glossary. However, information necessary for narcotics management but potentially subject to abuse if disclosed, such as pharmacology, toxicity, and dependency, is separately provided only to relevant government officials.
