Ulsan City, "Let's Create a Safe Industrial Complex Where Workers Enjoy Working"
2023 First Half General Industrial Complex Safety Practice Council
Sharing of Achievements and Plans for Second Half, Free Discussion Held
Practical discussions aimed at creating safe industrial complexes where workers can work comfortably are taking place in Ulsan.
Ulsan City announced that on the 28th at 10 a.m., it will hold the "2023 General Industrial Complex Safety Working Council" in the international conference room on the 4th floor of the city hall main building.
The council is composed of safety management departments from district offices, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, and practical workers from Ulsan Urban Corporation to create safe industrial complexes where workers can work comfortably.
On this day, 15 members of the Safety Working Council will attend to share the performance results of the first half of the year and plans for the second half, followed by a free discussion.
The first half of this year's performance included safety inspections in preparation for the thawing season (74 sites), traffic safety facility inspections (32 cases), road facility safety inspections (twice), safety management surveys of companies (50 companies), and inspections of emission facilities (54 sites).
In the second half of the year, to strengthen safety management of companies, environmental technology consulting for vulnerable workplaces (50 companies), safety diagnosis support (20 companies), and on-site safety education (40 companies) will be promoted, and awards will be given to safety management contributors at the end of the year.
Ulsan City plans to review the points for improvement and cooperation methods presented during the free discussion to secure a more substantial and well-organized industrial complex safety.
An official from Ulsan City said, "Through continuous cooperation centered on the General Industrial Complex Safety Working Council, we will strive not only to prevent accidents but also to create an industrial complex environment that is good for businesses."
Ulsan City established the "Basic Safety Management Plan" last March for systematic and organic safety management of general industrial complexes.
