Fire authorities searching following missing person report; underpass flooded and bus submerged
Heavy rain warnings have been issued for the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, with numerous rain-related damages occurring.
According to the fire department as of 11 PM on the 27th, about 20 rain damage reports were received in Gwangju, and around 30 in Jeonnam.
On the 27th, while very heavy rain of 30 to 60mm per hour was falling in Gwangju and Jeonnam, water began to accumulate in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, prompting residents to move their parked cars to the ground level.

Currently, heavy rain warnings are in effect for Gwangju, Naju, Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Jangseong, Hwasun, Gwangyang, Suncheon, Muan, and Hampyeong, while heavy rain advisories have been issued for Goheung, Boseong, Yeosu, Jangheung, Gangjin, Haenam, Wando, Yeongam, Yeonggwang, Mokpo, and Sinan (excluding Heuksan-myeon).
Very heavy rain of 30 to 60 mm per hour is falling, with 147.5 mm in Hampyeong, 109 mm in Gwangsan (Gwangju), 97.5 mm in Muan (Airport), and in Wolya (Hampyeong).
In Gwangju, water accumulated on a road in Gwangsan-gu, restricting vehicle traffic, and water also backflowed into commercial buildings. Additionally, water began to fill the underground parking lot of an apartment in Usan-dong, causing a commotion as cars were evacuated to the ground level.
In Buk-gu, water flooded the underground road in Dongnim-dong Jukrim, causing a bus to be submerged, and a traffic light malfunctioned at an intersection in Sinyong-dong, causing inconvenience.
Damage is also occurring continuously in the Jeonnam area. In Eomda-myeon, Hampyeong-gun, a resident who went to check a sluice gate has been reported missing, and the fire department is conducting a search. A house in Hakgyo-myeon, Hampyeong-gun, suffered flood damage, and soil was washed out on a road in Dolsan-eup, Yeosu-si. Also, a tree fell on a road in Donghwa-myeon, Jangseong-gun, and safety measures were taken.

Currently, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Gwangju City, Jeonnam Province, and the Korea Forest Service are sending text messages advising to "take thorough precautions against heavy rain damage" and providing updates on the current situation.
