'3 Billion Investment' Yoo Jae-suk Becomes Third Largest Shareholder of Antenna... Yoo Hee-yeol Also Invests 3.2 Billion
Broadcaster Yoo Jae-seok (50) has purchased shares of Antenna, his own agency led by CEO Yoo Hee-yeol, investing approximately 3 billion KRW.
According to Korea Economic Daily, on the 9th, Yoo Jae-seok acquired 2,699 shares of Antenna held by Kakao Entertainment, representing a 20.7% stake, for 3 billion KRW. On the same day, Antenna CEO Yoo Hee-yeol also invested 3.2 billion KRW to regain a 21.3% stake, becoming the second-largest shareholder.
It is known that Yoo Jae-seok decided to join Antenna in 2021 based on the strong trust and powerful partnership he had built with CEO Yoo Hee-yeol.
Yoo decided to become a shareholder himself to contribute to the company's growth and has actively provided opinions on Antenna's business areas, especially in entertainment content.
Founded in 1997 by popular singer-songwriter CEO Yoo Hee-yeol, Antenna was sold 100% to Kakao Entertainment for about 10 billion KRW in 2021, becoming a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment.
In 2021, Yoo Jae-seok, who emerged as a major free agent in the industry after his exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment expired, joined Antenna where his close friend CEO Yoo Hee-yeol was based.
That year, Yoo and CEO Yoo also participated together in a paid-in capital increase conducted by Kakao Entertainment, becoming shareholders of Kakao Entertainment.
In January, Antenna launched an independent entertainment studio called Antenna Plus and introduced new game entertainment content through the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun'. The first content on 'DdeunDdeun' was 'Pinggyego', where Yoo Jae-seok freely chats with his favorite friends using various excuses, sharing small stories and laughter.

Antenna includes the so-called 'Yoo Hee-yeol squad' with artists such as Yoo Jae-seok, Jung Seung-hwan, Lucid Fall, Kwon Jin-ah, Jung Jae-hyung, and Sam Kim. Since 2021, starting with broadcaster Yoo Jae-seok, Antenna has signed exclusive contracts with former Lovelyz member Mijoo and recently with singer Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon, a married couple.
