Open to middle and high school students, submissions accepted via email from June 30 to August 31
Submit videos in two categories: Shorts videos and General videos, in any format
A total of 12 works will be awarded, including one grand prize winner per category; winners receive certificates and prize money
Gangseo-gu, Seoul is taking the lead in promoting the ‘Smart City’ concept, which applies the latest information and communication technologies to provide residents with a safe and prosperous life.
The district announced that it will hold the ‘Youth Smart City Video Content Contest’ from June 30 to August 31.
The contest was organized to raise awareness about smart cities and encourage youth participation.
The contest theme is ‘A Smart City for Everyone to Enjoy Together,’ and participants can freely submit videos on topics such as ‘The smart city as imagined or desired by youth’ or ‘Smart city services that can be used near us.’
The contest is divided into two categories: ▲Shorts videos (within 1 minute) and ▲General videos (within 3 minutes). Participants must submit original videos in any format.
Any middle or high school student interested in smart cities can participate individually or in teams of up to three members.
The submission period is from June 30 to August 31 until 6 p.m. Participants must submit the application form, consent form for personal information collection and use, and video files via email to the person in charge.
The district plans to award a total of 12 works: one grand prize winner, one excellence award winner, two encouragement award winners, and two participation award winners per category for both Shorts and General videos. Winners will receive certificates and prize money up to 500,000 KRW.
The winning works will be posted on the district’s blog, YouTube, Facebook, and used as promotional videos during smart city education and events.
The results will be announced in October, with individual notifications and postings on the Gangseo-gu Office website.
