Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) is launching an employment support program targeting middle-aged adults in their 40s and 50s.
On the 27th, Guro-gu announced, "We operate programs that connect from preliminary counseling to employment so that middle-aged adults can challenge reemployment based on their capabilities."
First, the district has prepared the "Middle-aged Retirement Professional Job Matching Project (4050 Career Fitness)."
The training will be held concurrently on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 4 to 27 at Guro Youth Space Youth Irum and Sangsanguri Chungmuro Campus, targeting 20 retired residents of Guro-gu aged between 40 and 60.
Participants can receive one-on-one customized career redesign education, core competency enhancement training, and career and employment counseling based on diagnostic tests developed by the implementing agency.
After completing the training, follow-up support is provided to connect participants with employment opportunities at small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-sized companies, and social enterprises.

Additionally, as part of the "High Vocational Education Hub District (HiVE) Project," Guro-gu will conduct the "New Start Job Matching Program" at Dongyang Mirae University from July 10 to August 31.
The program targets residents aged 40 to 55 (with priority selection for Guro-gu residents) and is organized into two groups of 20 participants each for Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday classes.
The program includes basic employment competency training such as resume writing and interview clinics, and develops practical skills desired by companies through a small business manager practical course. One-on-one expert counseling, company matching, and profile photography are also provided to support employment.

Each program accepts applications on a first-come, first-served basis until July 3, and the training is free of charge.

A Guro-gu official stated, "We hope this training will serve as a stepping stone to utilize the expertise and experience accumulated so far," and added, "We will continue to do our best to support providing opportunities to middle-aged adults who are taking on new challenges."
