Choi Ho-kwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Holds ‘Child Protection Zone Safety Campaign’ in Front of Yeongjung Elementary School on the 26th
On the morning of the 26th, Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, conducted a ‘Child Protection Zone Safety Campaign’ related to the implementation of a time-based car-free street in front of Yeongjung Elementary School.
The campaign was attended by Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, Lee Kyung-ah, Principal of Yeongjung Elementary School, and Cho Chang-bae, Chief of Yeongdeungpo Police Station.
At the starting point of the school route, Mayor Choi raised the rising bollards to begin vehicle control and promised through the campaign to create a safer commuting environment for students and parents going to school.
The car-free street at Yeongjung Elementary School covers a 40-meter section of Yeongjung-ro 27-gil 3 road, where vehicle traffic is prohibited from 8:20 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (except on school holidays).
