Putin's First Statement After Rebellion Crisis Ends: "In Continuous Contact with the Ministry of Defense"
"Special Military Operation Is the Top Priority"
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on the 25th (local time), after the armed rebellion situation was resolved, that he is "in continuous contact with the Ministry of Defense officials."
According to major foreign media, President Putin said this in an interview with the state-run Rossiya TV on the same day.
President Putin emphasized, "The 'special military operation' is my top priority," adding, "It is the beginning and end of my day." He also added, "Russia takes pride in realizing all plans and missions of the 'special military operation' in Ukraine."
President Putin said he is also scheduled to attend the regular national security meeting next week.
The previous day, Russia's private military company Wagner Group launched a rebellion, demanding punishment for military leaders including Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, accusing them of attacking the group.

Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin seized the military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don in the southwest and advanced to within 200 km south of Moscow. The situation was resolved after Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko intervened as a mediator.
