Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Construction Union Executive Embezzles 80 Million Won at Construction Site
An executive of the Korean Federation of Construction Trade Unions (KCTU) who embezzled about 80 million won under the name of union development funds at a construction site was handed over to the prosecution.
On the 25th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested and sent Mr. A, in his 60s, who is suspected of joint extortion.
Mr. A, who served as the head of the metropolitan branch of the KCTU Construction Union, is accused of coercing union members until February this year to extort about 80 million won under the name of development funds at construction sites in the metropolitan area.
