Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Signs Business Agreement with Nowon-gu-hy (Korea Yakult) Gangbuk Branch to Discover Welfare Blind Spots and Strengthen Care for Vulnerable Groups
On the 23rd at 5 p.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, held a 'Business Agreement Ceremony for Discovering Welfare Blind Spots and Strengthening Care for Vulnerable Groups' with hy (Korea Yakult) Gangbuk Branch in the mayor's office.
The ceremony was attended by six officials including Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, and Jeong Myeong-su, head of hy Gangbuk Branch, along with six Fresh Managers. The event proceeded with greetings, signing of the agreement, awarding of appointment letters, and attaching QR stickers to electric carts.
In this agreement, Nowon-gu promised to ▲appoint Fresh Managers (Yakult delivery workers) as honorary social welfare officers ▲support single-person households at risk of social isolation with Yakult ▲establish a simple reporting system for welfare blind spots.
The counterpart, hy Gangbuk Branch, agreed to ▲actively report any abnormal signs found in delivery households ▲actively participate in discovering welfare blind spots and promotional activities.
Going forward, a total of 104 Fresh Managers will monitor the doors of about 10,000 households in the area and play a role in discovering welfare blind spots.
