Cheongsong-gun, '8282 Civil Complaint Response Task Force' Makes Great Impact
All Ages Full of Praise
Smiles Abound at Military Discharge
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has been implementing the ‘8282 Civil Complaint Handling’ project since early this year to alleviate inconveniences for residents. As a result, continuous praise from residents has been filling the entire county with happy smiles.
The ‘8282 Civil Complaint Handling’ project is a service where a mobile team visits homes to resolve minor inconveniences directly on-site. Cheongsong-gun held a launch ceremony on January 9th this year and has handled 3,458 complaints from 1,498 households over approximately five months.
This accounts for 10.6% of the total 14,059 households in Cheongsong-gun, demonstrating the tremendous efforts of the mobile team who have been tirelessly working within a short period.
In particular, almost every Cheongsong resident has seen the red van of the ‘8282 Civil Complaint Handling Mobile Team’ at least once. Inside this vehicle, items such as insect screens, LED lights, outlets, switches, kitchen and washbasin faucets, toilet parts, door handles, and various materials and equipment are always prepared, making it resemble a mobile hardware store.
One mobile team member shared, “Over the past five months, the vehicle has traveled 24,600 km, wearing out the tires from all the hard work. We will continue to do our best until the day there are no more complaints.”
Additionally, many positive reviews have been received, such as, “There are no young people in the neighborhood to solve problems directly, and in such overwhelming situations, having them rush over is indescribably appreciated,” and “For my mother living alone, this service is better than children, making me feel great pride in my hometown.”
The county plans to further expand the service areas and continuously improve the operation methods to provide better services and increase resident satisfaction.
County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “The 8282 Civil Complaint Handling will become a representative administrative service that residents can feel directly and closely in Cheongsong. We will do our best to operate it as a cornerstone of resident happiness along with regional development.”
