On the 23rd, Gyeonggi Province announced that starting from Anyang City and continuing until the 22nd of next month in Suwon City, the Paran31 Matson Cafe will be held daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for one month.
At the launch ceremony of the "Paran31 Matson Cafe" held at the provincial office on the same day, Governor Kim Dong-yeon said, "Since this is a visiting service, please be more considerate and attentive from the residents' perspective," adding, "Think of yourselves as representing me and do your best to serve, listen to, and communicate with the residents. Let’s not do this just formally but sincerely change what can be improved."
The Paran31 Matson Cafe is a mobile civil service office prepared with the purpose of reaffirming the initial commitment and listening to residents' stories on-site as the 8th term enters its second year.
One truck and one bus will each travel throughout the 31 cities and counties, covering northern and southern Gyeonggi respectively, handling various civil complaints and receiving requests under the "Wishes for the Governor" section.
The southern route starts from Anyang City, and the northern route from Uijeongbu City, returning to the final destination, Suwon, on Saturday, the 22nd of next month. On the 22nd, upon returning to Suwon, a "Midsummer Night Matson Talk" will be held at Suwon’s First Outdoor Music Hall from 7 p.m., inviting residents to conclude the event.
The interiors of the truck and bus, decorated with Gyeonggi Province’s character "Bonggong-i," include rest areas to escape the heat and participatory events. In particular, a space is provided in the "Wishes for the Governor" corner where residents can freely write their opinions. The opinions submitted by residents will be directly delivered to the governor during the "Midsummer Night Matson Talk" held next month.
Starting from the 26th of this month, Gyeonggi Province will hold the "Find the Paran31 Matson Cafe" event through its official social media (SNS). Participants can take photos of the Paran31 Matson Cafe and apply on the event website with a brief message of support or impressions to enter a draw for prizes.
