Concerning the prevention of water play safety accidents during the summer, Mayor Hong said, "This summer, due to the heatwave and the end of COVID-19, it is expected that crowds at beaches and valleys nationwide for water play and summer retreats will increase. Therefore, special attention to safety management is necessary. The responsible departments should thoroughly educate safety personnel, inspect facilities and rescue equipment, and reexamine safety measures. Please ensure thorough safety management at the park water play area scheduled to open in July."
