'Killing Romance' Selected as Opening Film of New York Asian Film Festival

Director Lee Won-seok's film 'Killing Romance' has been selected as the opening film of this year's New York Asian Film Festival. According to the film industry on the 23rd, it will be screened at the opening ceremony held at Lincoln Center in New York, USA, on the 14th of next month. Director Lee Won-seok and actor Lee Sun-kyun will also attend to interact with the audience.
'Killing Romance' is a comedy about top star Yeorae (Lee Ha-nee), who has left the entertainment industry, trying to escape from her overbearing wealthy husband Jonathan (Lee Sun-kyun). Director Lee, who directed films such as 'How to Use Guys with Secret Tips' (2013), continues his B-movie sensibility after 10 years. Although it failed at the box office with 191,502 theatergoers, it gained popularity among the younger generation and formed a cult following.
