Combining the comfortable driving experience of a sedan with the space utilization of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The recent spotlight on crossovers, which merge the strengths of both, in the domestic and international new car markets is because they accurately address the needs of potential demand groups.
In the imported passenger car market, the share of leisure vehicles (RVs) such as SUVs, vans, and pickup trucks was less than one-third until 2018, but this year it has increased to nearly half. While crossovers were once considered a hybrid with an ambiguous position, their appeal has surged as they now offer improved marketability aligned with changing trends.
The Volvo Cross Country (CC) is a crossover model made by Volvo, renowned for its wagons. As a brand from Northern Europe, Volvo designs its cars assuming harsh environments, including cold winters and mostly forested terrain. This background gives them expertise in practical leisure vehicles. The Volvo Cross Country offers a ride quality suitable not only for leisure activities like travel and camping but also for everyday driving.
In Korea, customers can choose between the V60 CC and V90 CC. Folding down the second-row seats creates cargo spaces of 1441 liters and 1526 liters, respectively. Due to the wagon-based body characteristics, the vehicle has a low height, making it easy to get in and out of, and its driving performance is close to that of a sedan. The exterior features a sleek silhouette with accent points at the front and rear. The interior reflects the Scandinavian design concept, like other Volvo vehicles. It includes an air purification system that monitors ultrafine dust and a sound system from the British premium audio brand Bowers & Wilkins, making time spent inside the car enjoyable.
Various safety features also stand out. The driving assistance system Pilot Assist helps maintain distance from the vehicle ahead and keeps steering centered in the lane. The emergency braking system City Safety detects vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and large animals, and even recognizes collision risks at intersections. The IntelliSafe system, which includes lane departure mitigation and collision avoidance with oncoming vehicles, is included uniformly across all trims.
Integrated T map infotainment built into Volvo vehicles. You can use platforms like T map, NUGU, and FLO without connecting any separate devices.
The integrated T-map infotainment system is a service developed with a 30 billion KRW investment by Volvo and T-map Mobility specifically for Korean customers. Built into the vehicle, it allows the use of T-map, the AI platform NUGU, and the music platform FLO without connecting separate devices. With a Korean voice recognition accuracy of 96%, calling “Aria” inside the car enables smooth voice control of vehicle functions such as interior temperature, heated seats, and ionizer, as well as setting destinations and waypoints, and providing information about nearby attractions.
