Yangcheon-gu Operates 'Gyeongdannyeo One-Stop Employment Support Program'
Operation of Digital Drawing Designer and 4th Industrial Revolution Future Education Specialist Instructor Training Courses for 30 Residents
Job Plus Center Professional Career Counselors Provide Customized Employment Counseling and Job Placement for Career-Interrupted Women
Establishment of Job Cooperation Network Involving Related Organizations to Discover Community-Linked Jobs
Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gijae) announced that it will operate a “Free Employment Support Program for Career-Interrupted Women” that provides one-stop support from customized skill development education to employment counseling and job linkage for 30 residents who face difficulties in reemployment due to career interruptions caused by pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
The “Free Employment Support Program for Career-Interrupted Women” was established to unify the previously scattered employment support channels for career-interrupted women across departments and to operate specialized training courses tailored to the 4th Industrial Revolution era, thereby newly building an employment linkage system that was previously focused on simple labor jobs to increase employment rates.
The employment support program consists of two courses: the “Digital Drawing Designer Training Course” and the “4th Industrial Revolution Future Education Specialist Instructor Training Course,” both designed as practical skill and certification acquisition programs linked to employment and entrepreneurship.
First, the district newly established the “Digital Drawing Designer Training Course” to nurture design professionals, as the emoticon and character product market has recently grown rapidly, leading to explosive growth in manpower demand.
Through education on SNS emoticons, characters, and smartphone theme design using digital drawing equipment and programs, the course helps participants obtain Photoshop certification, create individual portfolios, and debut as artists.
In particular, “digital drawing” has the advantage of enabling remote work due to the nature of the job, which is expected to greatly contribute to creating a work-family balance environment. The 200-hour course will be held from July 10 to September 20, and 15 students will be recruited by July 3.
The “4th Industrial Revolution Future Education Specialist Instructor Training Course” provides specialized education on key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution such as artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving, coding, virtual reality (VR), and 3D printing, supporting graduates to work as instructors at local schools and youth institutions. The district plans to recruit 15 students between August and September and conduct the training from October to December.
All courses are completely free of charge, and residents (career-interrupted women) who wish to enroll can refer to the announcement on the district office website, fill out the application form, and submit it via email to the Western Women’s Development Center contact person.
Additionally, the district will utilize professional career counselors at the Job Plus Center to provide customized employment counseling and job placement for career-interrupted women, and will establish a job cooperation network involving related organizations in the fields of cultural content design and 4th Industrial Revolution instructor training to discover community-linked jobs.
