KT Group Hosts 'Media Tour' Inviting 24 Elementary School Students
KT Group announced on the 22nd that it hosted 24 elementary school students from Jagok Dahamkke, I-Plus, and Taehwa Dahamkke Care Centers in Seoul for a 'Media Tour' along with its affiliates.
Started in 2017 to help explore careers in the media field, the 'Media Tour' provides elementary students with a one-day media experience and tour program. The program is mainly operated by KT Group's media companies such as KT Skylife, HCN, and KT Alpha.
Elementary school students participating in the KT Group media tour are taking a commemorative photo after touring the HCN Integrated Control Center (DMC).
View original imageThe tour began at the ‘Integrated Control Center (DMC)’ where HCN manages all broadcasting and communication services. Students were shown the process of how broadcasting and communication services are delivered and managed to users through about 250 monitor screens covering the DMC walls.
Next, the group moved to the studio where local channel news and programs are produced, and students experienced roles such as announcers and broadcasting production. Based on this experience, they also had time to shoot video letters to send to someone special. During this process, the elementary students visited the sub-control room where editing and correction work takes place, experiencing processes such as video insertion and CG work.

KT Group stated, “The Media Tour is a program started to allow students to experience broadcasting production sites that are difficult to access easily by utilizing the infrastructure and broadcasting personnel of KT media group companies, and to help them consider various career paths.”
