Seoul Baek Hospital is closing its doors after 82 years since its opening.

The union opposed the decision, stating that the board unanimously passed the closure plan of Baek Hospital. The union said, "We proposed discussions on forming a consultative body to the board," and added, "We cannot accept the outcome. Today is not the end, and we will continue our struggle."

Seoul Baek Hospital has faced severe financial difficulties, with accumulated deficits reaching 174.5 billion KRW over the past 20 years since 2004. Since 2016, a TF team was formed to attempt management normalization, but it is reported that the deficit issue was not resolved.
