U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken stated that he raised the North Korea issue during consultations with Chinese officials during his visit to China.
At a press conference held on the 19th at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, Secretary Blinken said he discussed North Korea's recent aggressive rhetoric with Chinese officials.
He added that China holds a "unique position" to pressure North Korea to engage in dialogue and urged China to play a role in resolving the North Korean nuclear and missile issues.

On the same day, he held talks with Qin Gang, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister, and on the 19th, he met with Wang Yi, member of the Communist Party Central Political Bureau.
