Gumi-si Proposes Policy Directions Through Big Data Analysis
Three Key Analysis Keywords This Year
Living Population · Tourist Attractions · Local Festivals
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province will conduct a big data analysis project from June to October to promote customized policies based on big data.
This year's analysis keywords are three: resident population, tourist attractions, and local festivals. The detailed topics include six categories: ▲Resident Population (analysis of resident population status, analysis of Gumi City's population inflow and outflow patterns, analysis of youth behavior patterns) ▲Tourist Attractions (analysis of tourist attraction visit status) ▲Local Festivals (analysis of the effects of local festival hosting).
The resident population analysis will compare the registered population with the actual resident population following the introduction of the resident population concept this year. It will analyze Gumi City's population inflow and outflow patterns and be used to establish resident population response strategies and population policies.
The tourist attraction analysis will utilize big data such as residence, age, industry, and consumption sales amount to understand tourism patterns and will be used to develop tourism policies aimed at creating a "Romantic Culture and Elegant City." The local festival analysis will provide objective results on hosting performance through analysis of visitor characteristics and economic ripple effects, which will be used for future festival planning.
The city expects to improve administrative service satisfaction through objective and scientific policy decisions centered on data and proactive responses to municipal issues.
