Users can install the ‘Goseong-gun Recycling’ application on their mobile phones and sign up to use it. For iPhone users, they can scan a designated QR code to sign up and use the service.
By entering a personal mobile phone number on the unmanned collection machine screen and opening the input slot to insert transparent PET bottles and cans, 10 points (10 won) per collected recyclable item are credited to the registered account. When accumulated points reach 2,000 or more, they can be redeemed for cash, and when they reach 5,000 or more, they can be exchanged for local gift certificates.
The collected recyclables go through processes such as crushing and washing to be reborn as new resources like clothing and nonwoven fabric, contributing to resource circulation and waste reduction by utilizing high-quality recycled materials.
