Announcement of the Winners in the Female Engineer Category in South Korea for the First Half of the Year

The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Industrial Technology Association announced on the 19th that the recipients of the first half of the year for the Female Engineer Award in South Korea are Senior Researcher Kim Sook-hyun of AhnLab Inc., Professional Jung Eun-young of Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., and Manager Han Jung-eun of LG Innotek Co., Ltd.
Senior Researcher Kim led the development and advancement of the Linux operating system for 'V3,' a representative domestic antivirus program, and spearheaded the development of 'V3 Office Server Security,' a security solution specialized for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Professional Jung developed welding construction methods for various offshore structures such as the world's largest FPSO (Floating Production Storage Offloading) and drillships, using high-strength steel (yield strength min. 460~500MPa), low-temperature (-60℃~-40℃) impact toughness guaranteed steel, and welding materials guaranteed for ?10℃ CTOD (Crack Tip Opening Displacement).
