Use Home Appliances by Paying Partial Price... Lotte Card Launches 'Hwansung Project'
Partial Payment and Use Followed by Lotte Card Retrieval
Reducing Hassle of Resale... Specialized Cards Also Launched
Lotte Card is introducing a payment method where customers pay only a portion of the purchase price for home appliances and smartphones and return the product after a certain period. This allows users to switch efficiently to new products without paying the full price.
Lotte Card announced on the 19th that it will launch this "Hwanseung Project" service.
The Hwanseung Project is a service available on Lotte Card's own application (app) "Digiroca" within the shopping mall "Dding Shop," where customers pay part of the price for smartphones, home appliances, cameras, audio equipment, golf products, etc., in installments over 20, 24, 30, or 50 months, and pay the remaining amount after the usage period ends.
For example, if a product priced at 1,000,000 KRW is purchased under the Hwanseung Project with a 20-month usage period and 30% of the price to be paid later, the customer pays 35,000 KRW monthly for 20 months and pays the remaining 300,000 KRW after the usage period ends. When returning the product, depending on its condition, the full or partial balance of 300,000 KRW may be deducted.
Return applications can be made through the Digiroca app from 1 to 3 months before the end of the usage period. All instructions regarding the return process can also be checked via the app. However, shipping costs may be charged depending on the returned product, and products with a 50-month usage period can be returned when purchasing a similar product in the same category.
The brands eligible for the Hwanseung Project include ▲(smartphones) Samsung Electronics Galaxy, Apple iPhone ▲(home appliances) LG Electronics, Ecovacs ▲(audio) Bang & Olufsen, Devialet, Geneva ▲(cameras) Sony ▲(golf products) Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Bridgestone, Mizuno, Majesty, Bettinardi, and others.
Along with the launch of the Hwanseung Project, discount events are also being held. This month's "Hwanseung Hot Deal" event offers discounts of up to 55% on Titleist and Bettinardi golf putters, TaylorMade golf drivers, Ecovacs robot vacuum cleaners, LG Electronics 75-inch TVs, and more.
The "Roca Hwanseung Card," which refunds the monthly usage fee of the Hwanseung Project every month, has also been launched. The monthly cashback limit is set between 15,000 KRW and 50,000 KRW depending on the previous month's usage amount. If multiple Hwanseung Project products are purchased, the monthly usage fees can be combined. The annual fee is 10,000 KRW (domestic only/Mastercard), and applications can be made through the Digiroca app and website.
