Former National Assembly member Lee Hak-jae will be inaugurated as the new president of Incheon International Airport Corporation on the 19th.
According to Incheon International Airport Corporation on the 18th, Lee was appointed as president on the 16th after being recommended by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and approved by the President. The inauguration ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on the 19th, and the term is three years.

Lee served as the mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon from 2002 to 2007 and was a member of the National Assembly representing Incheon in the 18th to 20th sessions from 2008 to 2020. Last year, he ran as the People Power Party candidate for mayor of Incheon but lost to the current mayor, Yoo Jeong-bok, in the party primary.
