Medical Data App Bihelci Popular Among Women in Their 30s
As frugality becomes a cultural trend among the MZ generation, Sejong Telecom's medical MyData management application (app) 'B-Healthy' has been found to be most frequently used by women in their 30s.
B-Healthy is a medical MyData non-face-to-face platform service based on blockchain technology that allows users to upload their personal medical data, pharmacy prescriptions, and health checkup records to B-Healthy, enabling them to view scattered medical MyData at a glance. Individuals who join B-Healthy and agree to the use of pseudonymized medical MyData information receive point rewards for providing health checkup results and hospital prescriptions. Accumulated points can be exchanged for digital vouchers from Busan Bank or coupons for coffee and beverages, bakery items, ice cream, pizza, chicken, convenience stores, movies, and more.
According to B-Healthy's user analysis, over the past eight months, people in their 30s have been the most active in utilizing data and accumulating points among its members, followed by those in their 20s and 40s. By gender, women accounted for 62%, higher than men at 38%.
By residential area, Gyeonggi Province had the highest usage at about 30%, followed by ▲Seoul (22.5%) ▲Busan (10.02%) ▲Incheon (6.7%) ▲Gyeongnam (6.5%). Although B-Healthy is a service under the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone project, with directly connected medical institutions concentrated in Busan, the nationwide distribution of users reflects the interest and popularity of app tech.
Wang Young-jin, Director of the Blockchain Convergence Business Team at Sejong Telecom, said, “Although medical MyData is being linked to daily life and developed into various service forms, the public's understanding of medical MyData is still low. Through various ideas such as reward-based services like B-Healthy, we will contribute to expanding positive experiences so that anyone can easily utilize their data.”

Meanwhile, B-Healthy is a medical MyData platform service designated under the Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone project supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and promoted by Busan City. Businesses (corporations) or institutions such as pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, bio companies, and educational institutions that require health data can conveniently browse and purchase the necessary types of medical data in one place through the B-Healthy demand website. If there is a specific data type desired, customized data composition and provision are also possible through consultation. Above all, since health data is sensitive personal information, blockchain distributed ledger technology is applied to fundamentally prevent data forgery and alteration, and personal information is thoroughly de-identified during data use and sales, ensuring safety without concerns about personal information leakage.
