Korean Air Deploys Specially Wrapped Aircraft on Paris Route to Support "2030 Expo"
Korean Air announced on the 16th that it will operate a special charter flight featuring BLACKPINK on the route to Paris, France, where the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE) General Assembly will be held, to support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Korean Air will operate a special charter flight departing Incheon International Airport at 9 a.m. on the 18th and arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 3:30 p.m. local time. Approximately 200 key members of the bid committee and corporate bid representatives attending the BIE General Assembly will be on board this flight.
Earlier in early May, Korean Air deployed a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft wrapped with BLACKPINK, Korea’s representative artist with global recognition, to support the Busan World Expo bid. Since then, the Busan World Expo bid promotional wrapped aircraft has been flying worldwide, starting with flight KE901 from Incheon to Paris on May 4, promoting the bid for the Busan World Expo.
Meanwhile, the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE) will hold its General Assembly in Paris, France, from June 20 to 21. The fourth presentations (PT) will be conducted by the candidate countries: Korea, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and Ukraine. The final host country will be selected after the fifth PT at the General Assembly scheduled for the end of November.
