Naju-si Promotes Workshop to Revitalize 'Cheongjeong Jeonnam Euddeummaeul'

Naju City in Jeollanam-do conducted a village revitalization workshop targeting two villages participating in the Clean Jeonnam Prime Village Creation Project.

According to the city on the 16th, this workshop was held with the residents of Juksan Village in Seji-myeon under the theme "My Village, By My Hands!" to enhance understanding of resident-led projects and foster village community spirit.

The Clean Jeonnam Prime Village Creation Project is a Jeonnam provincial policy initiative aimed at restoring the spirit of village communities and creating vibrant villages by improving village environments and landscapes through resident-led efforts by 2025.

The workshop proceeded in the order of investigating village resources and origins, theoretical and practical activities to discover village agendas, and discussion activities related to project implementation.

Starting with the workshop in Juksan Village, Seji-myeon the previous day, another workshop is scheduled for the residents of Donga Village in Munpyeong-myeon on the 22nd.

During the workshops, village designers and public interest activists trained at the Naju Public Interest Activity Support Center will serve directly as instructors and facilitators (coordinators who help organizations or projects operate effectively) to promote the workshops more efficiently.

A city official said, "We hope this workshop will be a time to restore the village community spirit and expand residents' participation awareness, changing the villages," adding, "We will maximize each village's strengths and characteristics to form village communities and provide unwavering interest and support so that this project can proceed smoothly."
