Gochang-gun Installs 'Rabbit Sculpture' at Nodong Reservoir

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do, announced on the 16th that it has installed cute rabbit sculptures on the water of Nodong Reservoir near Gochang Eupseong to add more attractions and fun for tourists visiting Gochang Eupseong in celebration of the 2023 Gochang Year of Visiting World Heritage Cities.

The cute rabbit family sculptures, unveiled on the 13th, feature a 3-meter-tall baby rabbit and a 10-meter-tall mother rabbit, showcasing adorable rabbit figures day and night.

The county is developing various tourism products around Gochang Eupseong so that many tourists can see, enjoy, and stay longer in the area.

Below Nodong Reservoir, where the rabbit sculptures are installed, a flower garden complex is also planned.

Currently, the county is conducting a research project to create the flower garden complex on a planned site of 94,723㎡, developing a unique theme using roses and seasonal flowers characteristic of the county.

A county official said, “We will strive to successfully promote the Year of Visiting Gochang by developing differentiated tourism content with unique ideas like the cute rabbit family sculptures.”
