Imsil-gun Successfully Hosts 'Disabled Persons Unity Sports Festival' at Gunmin Hall
The Jeonbuk Imsil-gun Disabled Sports Association announced on the 15th that it successfully held the ‘1st Imsil-gun Disabled One Mind Sports Competition’ at the Gunmin Hall on the 14th.
With about 200 disabled participants and helpers, this event was organized to expand opportunities for sports activities and social participation for people with disabilities, aiming to foster friendship and harmony by bringing together disabled and non-disabled individuals.
The Imsil County Disabled Sports Association successfully held the "1st Imsil County Disabled Unity Sports Competition" on the 14th at the County Community Center.

Hosted by the Imsil-gun Disabled Sports Association and organized by the Imsil-gun Disabled Federation, the competition featured about 200 athletes competing in six events.
Gori Geolgi, Hangung, and Tuho games were held as competitions between towns and townships, with five participants from each area. The Ball Bouncing game included 20 participants with physical disabilities, Shulrun had 10 participants with hearing impairments, and Yutnori featured 10 visually impaired participants, all showcasing their skills to the fullest.
The event was attended by key local dignitaries including Shim Min, Chairman of the Imsil-gun Disabled Sports Association, Lee Seong-jae, Chairman of the Imsil-gun Council and council members, and Park Jeong-gyu, member of the Jeollabuk-do Council, who enthusiastically cheered and encouraged the athletes.
Governor Shim Min said, “As the first disabled sports event held since COVID-19, it is expected to serve as a place of harmony where both disabled and non-disabled people communicate and unite. We will make further efforts to promote disabled sports in the county so that people with disabilities can become proud members of society.”
